BOOST: a visual identity for the collaboration of 2 research entities
INRAE
initial request
The project involved designing the visual identity for BOOST, a European scheme formalizing collaboration between two scientific entities. The identity had to embody key values such as transition, exchange, naturalness and quality of life, while remaining adapted to an academic and institutional audience. The color palette had to combine shades of green and orange to evoke sustainability, nature and human warmth, in a modern, minimalist style.

Answer
I developed a clean, contemporary visual identity, highlighting the fluidity of exchanges and the natural transition between collaborating entities. The typography, sans serif and rounded, reflects both the scientific rigor and the human gentleness of the project.
The color palette was designed to express these values:
Moss green, deep but soothing, to symbolize nature while establishing a visual link with the entities’ identities. Terracotta, a soft, organic orange, evoking transition, natural cycles and human warmth, echoing the colors of the Netherlands.
The subtle use of gradients visually reinforces the idea of gradual transition and exchange.
The design reflects a scientific, human and sustainable vision, perfectly in tune with the ambitions of the BOOST system.

I think your service was great. Good, clear communication. Good expectation management. And great creativity.
